Here is a new package that resolves the issue. Starting in Windows 10 build 17763, version 1809 "October 2018 Update", the classic Sticky Notes app has stopped working. Click or tap the ink icon on your taskbar and select Sticky Notes. The old app does not depend on Cortana and Windows Ink, which also makes it useful for privacy-conscious people. The notes themselves are also a bit smaller, so users like their compact appearance more. The performance difference is especially visible on less powerful hardware like Atom and Celeron CPUs. ![]() It starts immediately and works much faster. It consumes notably less system resources. Or from the keyboard, press Ctrl+F to search. Many prefer the good old classic Sticky Notes app. Open Sticky Notes, and from the top of the list of notes, type a search work or phrase in the Search box. The Notes option, where you can add, edit, and delete your notes, will open up. Do this by going to the bottom left of Outlook, clicking the three dots in the Navigation option, and then clicking Notes. Your notes can be organized by color, and you can format them. The application integrates with Cortana, the Windows assistant, so that if you type in a date and time, you can click it to turn it into a reminder. ![]() This is more than just a straightforward notes tool. However, a lot of users are not happy with this new change. The first thing to do is to open up the Notes option in Outlook. This program keeps what you need where you need it in a simple and appealing way. Starting in version 3.0, the modern Sticky Notes app includes a dark theme, the ability to sync notes between your devices, and tons of other new features. it lives in the system tray area with a simple main menu. You can create check lists and use it with Windows Ink. ![]() You can type a phone number and have it recognize it, and recognize URLs too which you can open in Edge. ![]() For example, the new app lets you create Cortana reminders from your notes. The new Sticky Notes app is a Universal (UWP) app, which comes with different features but as is Microsoft's way of doing things, it doesn't include all the features of the classic app. A sticky note, like the one below, should appear on your desktop. Now, its place is taken by a new app with the same name. Sticky notes are already on your NMU ThinkPad and are useful tools for remembering. With Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft discontinued the classic Desktop app "Sticky Notes". I cant wait to see how effectively MSFT and Nuance implement a large language model like GPT-4.
